Acoustic Wave Level Transmitters Operate In Difficult Environments

Jan. 14, 2010

Hawk recently introduced the Sultan 234, which can be powered using loop power (2-wire), 3, or 4 wire sources.  It does not matter which power source you choose… the Sultan Acoustic wave can measure in difficult environments.  These powerful and effective instruments emit an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured.  The reflected signal is processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes.  The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display.  This principle of operation elevated the Hawk SULTAN range to one of the most powerful level measurement systems on the market.  This is a high-power device with long-range capability even on 2-wire loop power.  There is no direct contact with the media, which can extend up to 393 feet (80 meters) from the sensor.   The combination of low frequency, high power and signal processing (Adaptive Gain Technology) creates one of the world's most reliable level devices available.
