New Bus Link Reduces Costs, Modernizes Process Control System
Modernizing APACS+ installation to the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system is now more cost effective than ever with the APACS+ DP IOBUS Link from Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. The APACS+ DP IOBUS Link allows plants to upgrade their existing APACS+ controllers while retaining the existing APACS+ I/O Modules and field wiring terminations.
Additionally, using the DP IOBUS Link delivers more computing power to existing systems — including the ability to select multiple scan rates as fast as 10 milliseconds. This modernization will help extend the life and lower the total cost of ownership of the APACS+ system. It also retains existing field wiring and I/O for cost savings.
