Relief Valve Is Designed For Corrosive Processes

Category: Fluid handling

Product Type: Valves

Manufacturer: Groth Corp.

Groth Corp. announces a new line of relief valves designed for environments too corrosive for metallic or fiberglass valves.

The all-polymer internal construction enables these valves to operate in the harshest chemicals making them ideal for use with Chlorine, Ethylene Dichloride, Hydrochloric Acid and other corrosive materials.

Polymer valves are said to operate in a similar fashion to their metal and fiberglass counterparts.  They protect low-pressure atmospheric storage tanks from excessive pressure and/or vacuum and limit fugitive emissions by preventing constant tank “breathing” to atmosphere, according to the company.  The Non-Metallic Pressure and/or Vacuum Relief Valve is available in vent to atmosphere or pipe-away configurations.

Established in 1960, Groth is a producer of pressure/vacuum relief valves, deflagration and detonation flame arresters, blanket gas regulators, and other low pressure relief products.
