Operator Interfaces Feature an Easy-to-use Development Package

Nematron Corporation announces the launch of a new and improved series of operator interfaces, the PowerView 8000 Series. This series also provides an enhanced, easy-to-use development package, the ViewBuilder 8000. The PowerView 8000 provides four LCD sizes to fit different applications: a 5.6-inch QVGA, a 8.0-inch VGA, a 10.4-inch VGA and a 12.1-inch SVGA. All units have 65K Color TFT LCD displays with analog resistive touchscreens.

“The PowerView 8000 Series addresses the growing demand for Ethernet and USB connectivity,” explains Ralph Damato, VP — Product Management of Nematron. “With three USB 2.0 ports, three configurable RS-232/485 ports, CompactFlash port, audio and 10/100 Ethernet port, these units are ideal for virtually any operator interface application. The software capabilities of this series allows up to 2000 screens, simultaneous connection to 16 different controllers, Ethernet I/P protocols, peer to peer communication and global data access,” continues Damato.

The ViewBuilder 8000 software provides increased functionality, including advanced object libraries; historical and real-time trending; alarm and recipe management; Windows True Font multi-language text display; support for BMP, JPG and GIF files as well as online and offline simulation.
