Millipore introduce its Milliflex Rapid Microbiology Detection System and AutoSpray Station, an automated solution for the rapid detection, response and resolution of microbial contamination in manufacturing processes. The detection system improves process control, product yield and the timely release of products. Based on Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) bioluminescence technology, the system delivers test results in about ¼ the time of traditional microbial contamination detection methods, such as membrane filtration (MF) and pour plates. With its capacity to detect and count viable microorganisms down to one colony forming unit (CFU), the system delivers reproducible results that correlate with traditional methods.
