Yokogawa Introduces New Product Offerings

Yokogawa has released an online sensor wiring guide, which covers all Yokogawa-designed and supported sensors and analyzers across the entire liquid measurement product line. The wiring guide can be accessed by visiting http://www.yokogawa.com/us/ia/analytical/analyticalmain.htm and clicking on the image on the right-hand side toolbar.

The guide is available for download on Android phones and pads through the Android Online store, while iPhone and Blackberry versions are planned to be available as well. Updates will be posted to app stores and the Internet as manual downloads. The app version has the same look and feel as the online, including the ability to select different measurements without having to return to the previous page.

In addition, Yokogawa has introduced a new Y-Plant Alert Sequence of Event Recording and Alarm Annunciation System. Offering alarm event sequence of event recording, as well as annunciator functions, the system timestamps alarm events with one millisecond resolution. It was developed based on customer input for what is needed in a modern plant alarm/event capture and notification system.

Key features of the Y-Plant system include easy configuration; plug-and-play installation with minimal to no wiring changes required, event storage in a common, widely accepted SQL database format; and security of buffering alarm events in the high speed I/O system, which prevents data loss in the case of PC failure.
