After 15 years in business, Wichita-based A Box 4 U is changing its name to RedGuard. The move more accurately reflects both its current product offerings and growth in the production of blast-resistant buildings, the company said.
Founded in 1998, the company began production of blast-resistant buildings following the Texas City, Texas, refinery explosion of 2005, which killed 15 workers and injured more than 170 employees.
The company now distributes its blast-resistant buildings internationally. The company also is renaming some of its divisions. While its line of customizable blast-resistant buildings will continue to be known as SafetySuite, its ready-to-lease fleet of buildings will be called LeaseFleet.
The company has also announced it is renaming its line of ballistic mitigation buildings developed for use in military and private security settings to CoverSix Shelters.
