Atlas Copco Releases Video Of AIRnet Challenge

A new video from Atlas Copco Compressors demonstrates that the company’s AIRnet aluminum lightweight compressed air piping system can be installed approximately 66% faster than an iron compressed air piping system.

The video shows Patrick, an independent contractor, taking the “AIRnet Challenge,” which consists of a basic compressed air piping installation done two ways: first with AIRnet piping and then with iron piping. Most of Patrick’s experience is with iron piping, having only worked with AIRnet on a few occasions before the challenge.

The two processes were recorded and timed. Patrick completed the basic AIRnet system in less than 35 minutes, while an identical system constructed of iron piping took one hour and 19 minutes to install. In addition to being quicker in the challenge, the video also demonstrated how the AIRnet piping installation process is designed to be cleaner and less physically demanding.
Atlas Copco is offering a free hat, compressed air manual and more information on AIRnet to anyone who submits the form currently posted online at
