Emerson Process Management is now offering a suite of automation and control training courses delivered live via the internet, offering instructor-led education with the convenience of remote access.  This new service complements Emerson's Educational Services offerings of in-class and self-paced Web training.

Emerson's "Virtual Classroom" permits students to take each course from their desktops connected to factory-based systems via the internet, including bi-directional audio and video.

"Customers are constantly challenged to remain current with the rapid evolution in technologies and work practices," says Dorothy Hellberg, director, Emerson Process Management's Educational Services.  "The high financial cost of travel plus the inconvenience of being away from home and work in order to complete this necessary training compounds the problem.  We saw our Virtual Classroom as a necessary investment to help customers maintain their education, but do so on their terms."
