Finnish Paint Manufacturer Teknos Chooses IFS For ERP

ERP vendor IFS recently announced that Finnish paint manufacturer Teknos has chosen IFS Applications to increase visibility, integration and collaboration between multiple companies and countries within the group. The solution will be implemented in Teknos’ operations in Finland, Scandinavia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Slovenia and Russia.

IFS Applications will replace several ERP systems, reducing IT cost by supporting all of Teknos’ operations and processes in a single modern ERP solution, standardizing data structures and processes throughout the group. Teknos will use IFS Applications components for financials, supply chain, manufacturing, sales and marketing, service and maintenance, document management, quality management, e-invoice and business analytics, as well as an interface to Atrion Intelligent Authoring, to handle regulatory requirements and product compliance specific to the chemical industries.

The process industry is one of IFS’ seven targeted markets. IFS provides industry-specific functionality for enterprises in paint and ink, food and beverage, chemicals, pulp and paper, and metals segments. IFS Applications for the chemicals industry provides support for all critical business processes, including batch balancing, recipe management, quality management, and demand planning. The application suite includes a complete asset and product lifecycle management solution. IFS customers in the chemicals industry include DuPont, Jotun, Flint Group, Willamette Valley Company, Akzo Nobel and Becker Industrial Coatings.
