Pepperl+Fuchs Breaks Ground On Texas Engineering Center

Pepperl+Fuchs, a provider of process automation applications for the oil and gas industry, breaks ground today on a new engineering center in Katy, Texas. The 110,000-square-foot facility, expected to be complete by summer of 2017, replaces an existing 20,000-square-foot space. It will house an expanded Solutions Engineering Center, a customer training area, automated warehouse space and expanded distribution facilities. The development signifies Pepperl+Fuchs’ long-term investment and commitment to Houston’s oil and gas industry, according to the company.

Pepperl+Fuchs’ Solutions Engineering Center is staffed with a team of engineers who design, build and certify customized solutions on site for process automation in hazardous locations, such as oil refineries, pharmaceutical facilities and other manufacturing facilities. The Solutions Engineering Center will assemble customized equipment locally and deliver it immediately for just-in-time installation, according to the company.
