MIT’s “Science Out Loud” Series Starts Season Two

MIT continues to bring a good dose of entertainment to science education with the kickoff of season two of its original web-based series, “Science Out Loud.” The second season, now live on YouTube, is hosted and co-written by MIT students and features engaging, curiosity sparking interactive experiments aimed at middle and high school students, according to the university.

Season two reportedly features a choose-your-own chemistry adventure where viewers mix up the ingredients of a chemical reaction to create the best explosion, a segment on how virtual reality works and another that showcases MIT’s Scratch programming to create a video game. Science Out Loud is part of MIT+K12 Videos, an educational outreach program from the Office of Digital Learning that incorporates original digital media and live programming, promotes STEM literacy and allows a wider audience to experience the world of MIT.
