EFCE Seeks Award Candidates

Group will honor outstanding work on thermodynamics and transport properties

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), Brussels, has issued a call for nominees for its Fifth Excellence Award in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties. The honor will recognize a PhD thesis granted and associated papers published between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2016, related to research or practice on thermodynamics or transport properties.

The award, which includes a €1,500 cash prize, will be bestowed at the 29th European Symposium on Advanced Thermodynamics, which will be held in Bucharest, Romania, in May 2017.

Nominations can be made by PhD supervisions at institutions in EFCE member countries or by a member of a regional or national member association of the EFCE. They must be submitted by January 13, 2017.
