Perstorp Introduces Crowdsourcing Innovation Initiative

Sept. 3, 2015
Perstorp launches innovation challenge.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Capa caprolactone thermoplastic materials, Perstorp launches an innovation challenge. The goal of the crowdsourcing initiative, according to the company, is to engage with visionary and technically minded people from all over the world to identify potential challenges and develop creative ideas to address them.

The competition asks participants to identify challenges they think could arise in the next 40 years and build solutions using Capa thermoplastics technology. Participants can enter individually or in teams of two.

Submissions will be judged based on criteria including ability to implement, degree of innovation, the role of Capa materials, sustainability, potential customer benefit and the participant’s personal connection to the issue. The winner has the opportunity to present the submission at K-Fair, the world’s largest plastics show, in October 2016 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Submission deadline is December 2, 2015.
