Industry executive will receive honor in March

The Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF), Philadelphia, and the Founder’s Club, Houston, will present James Gallogly, former chief executive officer of LyondellBasell, with the 19th annual Petrochemical Heritage Award on March 30, 2015, during the 2015 International Petrochemical Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

“James Gallogly joined LyondellBasell in May 2009 during the worst of the financial crisis and led the company to great success in just three years,” notes Carsten Reinhardt, president and CEO, CHF. “In November of last year he was named as one of Standard and Poor’s Top 100 CEOs, acknowledging his leadership and the rapid turnaround of LyondellBasell.”

Before joining LyondellBasell, Gallogly served in senior management roles at Conoco Phillips and Phillips Petroleum.

Gallogly serves as vice chairman of the board of the American Chemistry Council, a Washington, D.C.-based trade group.

CHF and the Founders Club established the Petrochemical Heritage Award in 1997 to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the petrochemical community.
