The European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), Brussels, has just issued a call for entries for its 6th biennial Excellence Award in Recognition of an Outstanding PhD Thesis on CAPE. The group plans to recognize a thesis that significantly enhances research or practice in computer-aided process engineering (CAPE) or process systems engineering (PSE).
To be eligible, the CAPE- or PSE-focused thesis must have been supervised at a university or PhD-awarding institution of an EFCE member country, and defended after Jan. 1, 2013. Nominations close on Dec. 31, 2015.
The award includes a cash prize of €1,500 as well as a certificate, and will be presented at the ESCAPE 2016 conference at Portorož, Slovenia, in June 2016. The winner will have opportunity to make a presentation at that conference and to prepare a paper for Computers & Chemical Engineering.
