June 10, 2015
Conference is Sept. 26-30, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) is Sept. 26-30, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The 2015 focus areas include: biosolids & sludge; chemicals and chemical handling; equipment/processes; industrial & hazardous waste management; instrumentation, controls, and automation; pumps, valves and motors; safety equipment; and wastewater treatment.

The conference will host its annual Operations Challenge 2015. Each Ops Challenge team is sponsored by a WEF Member Association or recognized Operator Association. Winners are determined by a weighted point system for five events (collection systems, laboratory, process control, maintenance and safety), each designed to test the diverse skills required for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, their collection systems and laboratories.

Registration for the Ops Challenge is open until July 31. To download a team registration form click here. Or send an email request to [email protected].

Other conference highlights will include the Opening General Session: Leading the Water Resource Revolution on Sept. 28. Rob Stewart, an award-winning biologist, photographer, conservationist, filmmaker, and author, will give the keynote address. Stewart will discuss his film, Revolution.
