Dow Receives TRANSCAER National Achievement Award

Company recognized for emergency-response planning.

The Dow Chemical Co. was one of 12 companies to receive a National Achievement Award from the Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response (TRANSCAER) for its efforts to help communities prepare and respond to a hazmat transportation incident.

The TRANSCAER awards program recognizes the achievements of individuals, companies and organizations that exceed in advocating, demonstrating and implementing transportation safety, community assistance and emergency response planning and aid.

The awards include national and regional recognition, the Chairman's Award, the Torch Award and individual and certificate of achievements awards.

The awards will be presented at two upcoming industry conferences this spring, including ACC’s annual Responsible Care Conference and Expo and Bureau of Explosives Hazmat Seminar.
