A joint-venture team that includes ICA Fluor will design and build a new petrochemical complex in Mexico for Braskem Idesa, the companies announced Oct. 4.
The project will include a 1,050-million=ton-per-year ethylene cracker and two high density polyethylene plants in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Other partners in the project include Odebrecht and Technip. ICA Fluor is the industrial construction joint of Empresas ICA, S.A.B. de C.V. and Fluor Corp.
ICA Fluor was part of the team that performed front end engineering for
the offsite facilities during 2011.
