Swagelok Co. will offer six more process analyzer sampling system training courses through the remainder of the year.
The live, weeklong training course teaches principles and techniques for optimized design, operation, and maintenance of process analyzer systems.
The course material is appropriate for basic training or as a knowledge refresher for experienced technicians, chemists, or engineers. Swagelok will offer courses in Perth, Australia, June 13-17; Baton Rouge, La., Aug. 29-Sep. 2; Stuttgart, Germany, Oct.10-14; Calgary, Canada, Oct. 24-28; Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nov. 21-25; and in the Netherlands Dec. 5-9.
The course instructor is Tony Waters, an industry expert and consultant. Waters has 50 years of experience with sampling systems and is an expert in the application of process analyzers in refineries and chemical plants.
During the course, attendees will learn to diagnose sample transport problems, calculate pressure drop in a fast loop or return line, prevent or control phase separation, and read and create sampling system schematics, along with other skills. Participants will work in groups to design a sampling system for review at the end of the week.
