The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), America Section, will award the SCI Chemical Industry Medal to Michael E. Campbell, chairman, president, and CEO of Arch Chemicals, Inc. He will be presented with the medal on March 10, 2010.
The SCI Chemical Industry Medal is presented to people whose leadership, foresight, and contributions to applied chemistry have been—to a considerable degree—responsible for the growth of that industry.
"Mike Campbell has not only successfully guided his company through times of significant change, but been a tireless spokesman for the chemical industry, encouraged education, and provided perspective on U.S. trade policy," says Andrew Liveris, SCI chairman and CEO of The Dow Chemical Co. "It is a pleasure and an honor to present him with the 2010 SCI Chemical Industry Medal.”
The Chemical Industry Medal award ceremony will take place on March 10, 2010, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. Tickets are available by contacting Natalie Clark at sciamerica2@aol.com or by phone at 215-873-8232.
