Seminar Offered On Purge and Pressurization Systems

Pepperl+Fuchs is hosting a Purge/Pressurization Enclosure Protection Systems seminar on Oct. 21, 2009, at the company’s training facility in Houston.  This one-day educational training session will cover a wide range of topics including what purging is and how to determine the need, what is used to purge/pressurize an enclosure, what types of enclosures and devices can be purged, and accessing the equipment.  The class will also cover design standards, enclosure marking and design considerations, as well as pressurization system designs and requirements for alarms, cutoffs, etc.At the conclusion of this course, attendees will:• Be able to define hazardous area classifications and their associated certification requirements;• Understand the difference between the types of protection and their uses;• Understand NFPA and ISA design standards;• Understand pressurization system designs and how to choose the appropriate system;• Understand typical applications for purge and pressurization systems.Classes run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  The registration cost is $350 per person, which includes materials and lunch.
