Recent advances in technology for measuring the flow properties of powders enable the quantification of process-relevant characteristics and the establishment of a database of flow properties. This knowledge leads to an understanding of which flow properties best suit a specific process step and, when fed back into the development environment, provides the information required for the implementation of Quality by Design.
A free Web seminar, Measuring powder behaviour in relation to Quality by Design, will be offered on May 20, 2009. The Webinar is presented by Tim Freeman, director of operations for powder characterisation company Freeman Technology.
