Chief Financial Officer To Leave Ciba Inc. At Year’s End

Juerg Fedier, chief financial officer at Ciba Inc., has decided to pursue career opportunities outside Ciba and will leave the company at the end of 2008.
Due to the takeover process of Ciba by BASF, it was decided not to refill the position.
Niklaus Meier will assume the CFO’s responsibilities in addition to his current position as head of Group Control. Meier has been with Ciba for 13 years, holding several senior positions in finance, and has worked closely with the CFO and the executive committee.
