Kelly Engineering Resources, a business unit of global staffing provider Kelly Services, Inc., today announced the winner of its Future Engineers Scholarship program.
The scholarship recipient, Andrew Longenecker of Jupiter, Fla., is a mechanical/ biomedical engineering student at Duke University.
Longeneckers essay on how advancements in biomedical engineering and nanotechnology are changing the course of science earned him the $5,000 educational scholarship from Kelly.

Kelly Engineering Resources created the Future Engineers Scholarship program to encourage student interest in an engineering career, to foster excellence in the engineering field and to help alleviate a critical current and future shortage of highly qualified engineers.
Through this program, sophomore- and junior-level college engineering students who meet certain criteria compete for a scholarship by submitting essays on contemporary industry topics. Candidates are evaluated on their demonstrated potential for commitment to a career in engineering, outstanding academic performance, and depth of knowledge about the issue addressed.
