Chloronation system prevents marine fouling on Petro-Canada vessel
Due to space limitations, which was limited to an area of about 85 square feet, standard skid mounted systems would not fit the requirements. USFilter's Electrocatalytic Products, Union, N.J., successfully met this challenge by providing the compact dual-level Chloropac system, designed with a compact footprint of 6' 6" x 13' and a total capacity of 978 pounds of sodium hypochlorite per day.
In April, a start-up program provided by USFilter Electrocatalytic Products introduced Terra Nova's operating crew to the Chloropac system. Additionally, in June a special hands-on training session was performed for the purpose of training operators not on the vessel during the initial start-up training session.
USFilter is part of Siemens' Industrial Solutions and Services Group.
