What is the best way to track changes to instruments?
I am a management of change coordinator. Many companies assign asset numbers to each instrument, control valves, regulators, etc. I think it is a good idea to be able to track the changes and attach data sheets to each component. What are your thoughts about this?

Problems with Seal Pots
The seal pot we are using as one of pressure controls is continuously supplied with water at normal flowrate. We check the seal pot level thru its manometer and found normal; but in the end we conclude that the seal pot had emptied since vapor/gas already came out and no water came out from the seal pot water outlet. What are the possible causes of this? Could you please also tell me how a tank seal pot works? its principle and operation?
