On our new steam turbine installation I noticed the surface condenser condensate pumps minimum flow line goes back to the top of our tube-and-shell surface condenser and enters the shell above the tubes that carry the cooling water. Is this OK, or would it be better to direct the flow somewhere else?

Re: What is the best arrangement for a minimum flow line from a pump?1 March 2012 at 1:29pmCan't really comment on this scenario without knowing sizes and distances, etc. However, the best arrangement for a minimum flow line from a pump is always back to the suction source of the pump.
