In API 610, there are various types of pump-specific configurations -- BB1, BB5, OH2, etc. For boiler system, whereby there are various operating pressures (30 bars, 60 bars, and above 90 bars of condensate and feedwater), how do we determine which type of pump configuration is most suitable? What are the governing factors for pumps that are important to this specific application?

Re: How do we determine pump configuration?
20 September 2010 at 1:29pmI would suggest that the pump configuration that is most suited for any application can fall into two categories. One would be the configuration that can handle the operational requirements of the service, while the other would be the configuration that has been used successfully in the past for the same service. You may be better served by obtaining information from internal sources.
