What are the main reasons for using turbine-driven pumps instead of electrical-motor driven ones --especially at not very high KW powers?

18 September 2009 at 1:29pmThe normal deciding factor regarding whether or not to use a steam turbine drive is whether or not economical steam is available for use. If it is, it will provide the added benefit of being able to vary the driving speed.
