When installing a vertical pump, should the eccentric reducer on the discharge side of the pump be installed with the flat side on top?

27 August 2007 at 1:29pmUnder no circumstances should there be an eccentric reducer on the discharge nozzle of a pump, vertical or otherwise. A pump discharge, vertical or horizontal, should be fitted with a concentric increaser.
