Use of disposables is process dependent.

Recently, there has been a push by disposable manufacturers on this as it is profitable for them.

The fundamental questions: what are the process, batch size, frequency and efficacy of cleaning? How does the product economics compare with the non-disposable versus the disposable equipment process? We should not limit the economics to disposables gone from the site but include how the disposables impact the environment as they will be disposed of as a solid waste.

We have to look at "process on stream time." Do the disposables improve process "on stream time" and improve economics? We also have to look at what we have to invest in time, training and people. ROI has to be calculated for disposables.

I hope these will lead you in the right direction. Thanks for asking the question.
