What is the ethanol dehydration process for producing fuel ethanol? Is molecular sieve technology an economic method for this purpose?

Re: What is the ethanol dehydration process for producing fuel ethanol?
14 April 2009 at 1:29pmThe predominant commercial dehydration processing method to produce fuel grade ethanol remains molecular sieve technology. Ethanol at its azeotrope composition with water (95% ethanol) is fed to molecular sieve trains that alternately cycle between dehydration of the ethanol and regeneration of the molecular sieve.
