I can only offer advice from the U.S. perspective. The best resource is the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Web site (http://www.cdc.gov/niosh), which provides checklists and guidance on selection of the appropriate safeguards for specific classes of chemicals and bio-hazards. The site also has links to specific manufactures that specialize in these designs (look in the working groups pages). In the pharmaceutical area, the standards would be found under a USP guidebook for the compounds.
