We're planning to scale up a process that involves the transfer of an aqueous phase containing a hazardous reagent from a reactor where phase separation takes place to another reactor. As we would like to avoid the use of an additional tank, we were planning to transfer the aqueous solution directly, but we are worried about the possibility that pump functioning would provoke phase separation disturbing. What would be your advice for this type of setup (use of a shock absorber, etc.)?
