Are we practicing good mixing practices in terms of time and efficiency? Tank Height = 1,818 mm; Tank Diameter =1,550 mm; Stirrer Motor size =2.2KW; Impeller = 3 pcs; mounter below, half and top, 2 blade pedal type with 45% pitch; Mixing viscosity = 700 – 1,500 cps.

Re: Is our mixer design efficient?
16 October 2012 at 10:26amWith a 2.2 KW motor and three (3) impellers, two (2) blades each, blades mounted at 45 deg angle, mixing 1,500 cp liquid in a 1,550 mm diameter tank and 1,818 mm height, the best mixing results will be obtained if all of the impellers are 600 mm in diameter impellers with 120 mm wide blades and rotating at 100 rpm.
