Can I get the same maximum agitator speed for a given motor for different types of fluid?

Re: Agitator speeds for different fluids10 May 2007 at 1:29pmThe maximum agitator speed with the same motor is strongly dependent on the impeller size. For the same impeller type (number of blades, blade angle, blade width to diameter ratio, etc.) in turbulent conditions, impeller power is proportional to rotational speed (rpm) to the third power (cubed) and impeller diameter to the fifth power. In other words, higher speeds with the same motor means that the impeller must be smaller.
