We have to filter used wax having 25 micron and bigger particles. After making molten state, which type of filter can be effectively used? The wax is heated and made molten state (90 degrees C) in a 500 liter capacity heated vessel. The filter elements specially designed get choked after each batch and cannot be reused resulting in very high cost. This replacement of filter element makes the reuse of wax uneconomical. Can you suggest a filter that can be used repeatedly?

1 August 2011 at 1:29pmI would suggest an automatic pressure filter. It would have to be heated/jacketed, which would increase its cost, but it could filter the whole batch using disposable filter media.
