Are there any elementary books or articles for learning process control on a self-study basis? I am woefully weak in this area and it is really messing up my job hunt.

18 October 2006 at 1:29pmIt depends on what aspects of process control are of interest to you. For the systems aspects, contact the manufacturer of the control equipment. In addition to formal courses, most of their training organizations also offer materials for self-study.At the technician level, the Instrument Society of America (www.isaq.org) offers a variety of materials, including certificate progams.
At the engineering level, a web-based offering on Process Control is available from the Georgia Tech Distance Learning and Professional Education (www.pe.gatech.edu). Keyword search: CHEM).
