Re: What is the best source of quick heating in a vacuum tray drier?7 February 2012 at 1:29pmStainless steel trays will perform better if the heating is being applied directly to the tray. If the drying is limited by gas flow, then the HDPE and stainless trays will behave similarly. For vacuum drying the limitation is often the mass transfer of moisture into the flowing gas. Increasing gas flow, temperature and reducing particle size of the solids are all ways to improve the drying time.
