I do not have any expertise in contaminant effects on various heat transfer oils. I would suggest contacting the heat transfer oil manufacturer for guidance on important contaminants in the oil. If there are high nitrite levels in the cooling water, it may become a problem if it accelerates corrosion or reaches the solubility limit and begins to plate-out on heat transfer surfaces.
