How do I size the nozzle while designing the air-cooled heat exchangers? Is there any correlation with tubeside velocity?

23 October 2009 at 1:29pmNozzle sizing for the tubeside of an exchanger is driven by the need for good distribution of fluid across the entire tube bundle and acceptable pressure drop. The pressure drop through the tubes should be significantly higher than the nozzle side pressure drop to assure good distribution. Any other constraints are generally related to allowable pressure drop.
