If I know the fouling factor and conductivity of the heat exchanger, how can I calculate the fouling layer?
Have an insight or suggestion?

Re: How To Calculate The Fouling Layer
13 February 2009 at 1:29pmIf you know the conductivity of the fouling material then the layer thickness can be directly determined by the formula: x = k*rf where x is the thickness, k is the thermal conductivity of the fouling material and rf is the fouling resistance (i.e., factor). The question really becomes, how do you know what the fouling factor is?
