Why would a full load of plastics eg bowls come out very wet and yet a full load of metal instruments on perforated plastic trays come out dry in the same sterilizer?
Have an insight or suggestion?

Re: Wet plastic versus steel
28 April 2006 at 1:29pmThe wetting of steel with water is substantially better than that of plastics and will provide superior draining, and therefore drying, of metal instruments. This is due to the difference in interfacial tension of water/steel vs water/plastic.
