How is the chemical resistivity of 316SS to caustic in elevated temperature environments (up to 220 degrees C)?

Re: How resistant are austenitic stainless steels in caustic environments?
2 April 2012 at 1:29pmAt temperatures above 100 degrees C, austenitic stainless steels like 316L are subject to stress corrosion cracking (SCC). 220 degrees C is well above the threshold for SCC so 316L would generally not be recommended.
