Re: What is the compatibility of sulfuryl chloride with a glass lined reactor?
20 October 2011 at 1:29pmSchweitzer's Corrosion Resistance Tables (5th edition) says that borosilicate glass is "recommended" for sulfuryl chloride up to about 121 degrees C. The glass in glass-lined steel reactors is most often a sodalime based proprietary formulation with corrosion resistance in acids and bases superior to borosilicate glasses.
