Which material (SS304/316) is suitable for molten sulfur at 120 to 130 degrees C?

6 October 2011 at 1:29pmIf the sulfur is dry, 304 or 316 stainless steel will work equally well for this application. The presence of moisture or oxygen due to aeration will make the stream more corrosive, in which case 316 stainless steel might be preferred. I have read that seamless carbon steel pipe is commonly used for this application.
