Is it possible to laser weld silicone tubing to silicone tubing? If so, how?

8 April 2011 at 1:29pmI am not an expert on this technology, but I believe that laser welding is used to join thermoplastics by heating them to their melting points. Since silicones are thermosets, they degrade when exposed to heat and laser welding would not likely be an option.
