Can I simplify mixing calculations for a bottom-mounted impeller?

Q: Can I simplify mixing calculations for a bottom-mounted impeller on a Breddo Likwifier by using the equations for a six-blade turbine with disk?
If so, what would I substitute for the gap between the bottom of the impeller and tank?

A: I took an entirely different approach to your question and went to the Breddo Likwifier Web site to find information about the company's impellers: http://www.breddo.com/impeller.htm.
 
Its standard impellers look completely different from a standard disk impeller and would not be expected to have a similar power number, even with a clearance correction factor.  The power number for a standard disk-style impeller is 5.0, with baffles.  The Breddo Likwifier does not have baffles, or only small surface baffles.  Based on motor power for LOR mixers, the 10-inch impeller has a power number less than 0.4 and the 12-inch impeller has a power number less than 0.2, otherwise its standard motors would overload.
