What are the power numbers for standard agitator impellers?

Q: I wish to know different power numbers for standard agitator impellers (Pitched blade. Straight blade. Anchor. Disperser etc.)

A:

Typical turbulent power numbers for different impellers are as follows:

Pitched-blade (4 blades, 45 deg angle, W/D = 0.2)                        1.37
Straight-blade (4 blades, W/D = 0.2)                                           3.96
Hydrofoil (typical 3 blades, narrow blades)                                    0.31
Saw-tooth disperser blade
(depends on number of teeth, height of teeth, pitch of teeth)          0.35 to 0.88

Anchor impellers are usually designed on the basis of a viscous power number and depend on geometry, blade width, height, and wall gap.
